Today I followed a group-training at SwimGym so I could still get to 16km for this week and I did it! This was the first time that I went to SwimGym in the weekend and I very much liked swimming in a 50m pool for a change.
It went pretty well! I also called my coach this evening to talk about my progress of the past month and it was a good phone call. He seemed to be quite pleased with the distance I was swimming and I think he has faith that we’ll get there.
In December we’re going to get together to make a plan for the Channel Swim and what I have to swim in those months leading up to actually crossing the Channel in July. We talked about my diet and I should probably go see a dietician because I haven’t been eating very healthily… But with a dietician it’ll sure go all right! 🙂
I also told him that I’m making real progress with facing my fears of swimming in open water and he has faith that after Lanzarote that won’t be much of a problem anymore. I’m really excited about that! And I also think I’ll be able to do the 100x100m on the 19th of November!
This talk with Marcel has really given me a boost! I feel more motivated again with more energy and I’m really looking forward to standing on that beach, to just dive in and start the crossing! 🙂 It was a really good talk!
